Based on Thomas Aquinas's conception of law, he sees at the top of the legal edifice the \u003cem\u003eeternal law\u003c\/em\u003e that reveals itself in the world as \u003cem\u003edivine\u003c\/em\u003e \u003cem\u003elaw\u003c\/em\u003e, as that itself underlies the \u003cem\u003enatural\u003c\/em\u003e \u003cem\u003elaw\u003c\/em\u003e, which in turn evokes a sense of right and justice as a basic orientation for the \u003cem\u003epositive\u003c\/em\u003e law established by humankind.
