Dan's current research focuses on the criminal process, and he has previously taught skills modules on the Bar Training Course, in addition to organised crime on the LLB.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAmber Phillips \u003c\/strong\u003eis a Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the University of the West of England. Having initially trained as a translator, her career as a criminologist began in 2012 while she was living and working in Calabria, Italy, as part of the EU-funded Leonardo da Vinci scheme. Her experiences with antimafia organisations in Calabria inspired her AHRC-funded PhD, which she successfully defended in 2018. As a researcher, Dr Phillips is primarily interested in transnational organised crime and mafia-type groups, as well as the impact of cultural representations and media narratives on crime control policy.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eEd Johnston \u003c\/strong\u003eis an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Procedure at the University of Northampton.
