Longshore Workers Entitled to Overtime

A longshore worker loads or unloads cargo, operates cargo-related equipment and may handle the mooring lines on the dock when the vessel is made fast or let go. As these workers primarily perform work involving repetitive operations with their hands, physical skill and energy, they are non-exempt and thus entitled to overtime.
