Valets Entitled to Overtime

Valets may include a hotel valet, parking valet or car valet. A hotel valet is an employee who performs personal services for hotel guests. A parking valet is an employee who parks cars for guests. A car valet is an employee who is paid of professionally clean someone's car. These valets are generally non-exempt and entitled to overtime. However, a valet employed in the domestic service of another is exempt from overtime. Such a valet performs services of a household nature in or about the home of the person whom the valet is employed by.
