What is a Toxic Exposure Class Action?

A toxic exposure class action can be brought on behalf of a group of people that have had similar exposure to to a toxic chemical or substance. As examples:

  • Law enforcement officers, emergency responders and firemen who worked participated in the World Trade Center rescue and cleanup operation spending time amid ground zero dust who develop cancer.
  • Neighbors to a power plant or factory who have developed similar symptoms that would not be explained but for them living close to a business that pollutes certain chemicals.
