Bert Goolsby, a Citadel graduate with a law degree from the University of South Carolina and an advanced law degree from the University of Virginia, is a retired appellate judge and former chief deputy attorney general. South Carolina Lawyers' Weekly serialized Harpers' Joy in 2008.
